From haunted houses and historic forts to family-friendly corn mazes and masquerades, attend one of these events across Saskatchewan to put you in the spirit. 

Al Benesocky’s Shock House

When: Regina - October 13-14, 19-21, 25-31, Yorkton - October 13-14, 19-21, 26-29, 31 

Al Benesocky’s Shock House, Saskatchewan’s largest and longest-running haunted attraction, is back for its 13th year with locations in Regina and Yorkton. Empty warehouse spaces will be transformed into houses of horror with frightening displays and actors that will bring the dead back to life.

Wander in the dark and find your way by flashlight, as you come across scary and terrifying creatures of the night at Corn Way Adventures. Halloween in the Maze will feature spooky and sinister displays and actors to bring the terror to life. Some of the farm’s attractions include three corn mazes cut into an eight-acre field, bale maze, playground and children’s activities, bouncy castle, nature walk, slackline and hay ride to and from the corn maze.

The Remai Arts Centre in Saskatoon and Conexus Arts Centre in Regina will play host to the Halloween staple, The Rocky Horror Show. It’s time to do the Time Warp again as newly engaged couple Brad and Janet find themselves stranded at Dr. Frank-N-Furter’s castle. The music and dance moves will be out of this world. The audience, armed with props, will be encouraged to participate during the performances.

Five creepy, haunted historic buildings will be completely transformed for your bone-chilling, hair-raising, fright-filled enjoyment. Not for the faint of heart, this event is sure to make you scream. Will you “Dare the Scare?” 

Bump in the Night

For a night of magic and mystery, attend Bump in the Night at Government House. The grand building, built in 1891, is rumoured to be haunted, so don’t be surprised if you hear creaky footsteps and eerie sounds or see “Howie,” the resident spirit, lingering around. Celebrate Halloween – Victorian style.

Boo Town

The Western Development Museum is inviting the whole family to participate in Halloween fun at its locations across the province. In Moose Jaw, children aged seven and under are encouraged to don their costumes for Ghostly Games. The event will feature games, crafts, photo booth and goodie bags for the little visitors. A costume parade and carved pumpkin gallery will be highlights at the Great Pumpkin Masquerade and Family Dance in North Battleford. Boo Town in Saskatoon will include live entertainment with Off the Cuff Improv, games, crafts, spooky stories, photo studio, and Witch’s Kitchen that will serve up ghoulish
treats. Try to solve the Halloween Mystery on a wagon ride through the dark and eerie grounds of Boo Town.
