Sundogs Sled Excursions will take you dogsledding on the southern edge of one of the great northern forests in Canada. Experience a sense of horizons unexplored, where wolves roam ice-clad lakes that heave and groan and snow-weighted bows greet the frosted dawn. This is your best combination of mushing, learning and adventure opportunities along the trail with extra attention to details at Sundogs kennel. Once you have a few miles under our runners, you'll have a chance to drive the sled for a while with a guide-host at your side. This excursion includes a stop for a campfire and trail lunch at our backcountry camp. You can warm up in a cozy, wood-heated trapper's-style canvas wall tent. At the camp we'll look at some nuances of the snow pack, finding out how wildlife weathers the 'fourth season'. There are good opportunities for photography too. Snowshoes are provided for a short side trip.
Souvenir items for each guest.
All insulated outer clothing and footwear.
Puppy Camp (special look and experiences at the workings of a musher's kennel)
6-8 hour dogsledding experience.
