    You are invited to Meewasin's Grazing Dinners this fall near Saskatoon. This one-of-a-kind experience begins with a guided hike through native prairie at Beaver Creek Conservation Area, led by Meewasin’s Renny Grilz. You'll be immersed in the sights, smells, and sounds of the landscape and learn why Saskatchewan prairie is so important.
    After the hike, a three-course dinner prepared by Odla Restaurant & Market will be served outdoors. True to Odla’s farm-direct approach, the ingredients featured on your plate will be locally sourced and seasonally inspired.
    Enjoy an interactive sheep and stock dog demonstration with special guest, Shepherd Jared Epp, showcasing how Meewasin uses grazing to support prairie ecosystems.

    Meewasin's Naughty By Nature offer combines some delicious local food and beverages with a tour that takes a light-hearted look at what happens in the river valley after hours. You’ll learn about the mating and courtship strategies of the wildlife at Beaver Creek Conservation Area. This exploration of the risqué side of nature, coupled with a make-your-own cocktail experience featuring Black Fox Distillery’s Gin #3, is sure to get a laugh out of guests!

    Optional Add-Ons: Add a specially curated charcuterie box from Style and Graze and/or a local beverage from 9 Mile Legacy Brewing or Stumbletown Distillery to your ticket to cap off your evening! (Food available by pre-purchase only). All proceeds from this experience support Meewasin’s conservation and education programs, making this a sustainable experience in one of the Meewasin Valley’s most popular locations.

    This experience is limited to 24 people per tour, available on July 11 and 25, August 8 and 22, 2024 from 6-9 p.m. 19+ only please. Due to the natural features of the trail network, this experience is not considered accessible for guests with limited mobility.

    Join Meewasin Valley for Breakfast with the Birds!

    For a limited time during the spring breeding season, you can join Meewasin and start your day with the birds at Beaver Creek Conservation Area. 

    The morning begins with a gentle walk along the trail, where a Meewasin guide will cover the basics of identifying and tracking a few of the resident birds, as well as a few of the migratory birds passing through. Once you arrive back at the interpretive center, you’ll be treated to some local coffee from Road Coffee and a continental breakfast box specially curated for Birding Breakfast by Style & Graze. 16 breakfast spots available per tour. 2024 tour dates: June 8, 9, 15 and 16. ​​
    All proceeds from this experience support Meewasin’s conservation and education programs, making this a truly sustainable experience in one of the Meewasin Valley’s birding hotspots.

    Meewasin Wildflower Walk

    Join Meewasin for a guided Wildflower Walk at Beaver Creek Conservation Area near Saskatoon, and learn about local plants, wildflowers, and pollinators that love them.
    Did you know that somewhere between 75% and 95% of all flowering plants on the earth need help with pollination? As you hike along the trail, your guide will direct your attention to various native plants and wildflowers in bloom, and talk about the important relationships they have with the animals that pollinate them.
    After your walk, you’ll be treated to a cold drink created by Primal Restaurant (featuring ingredients that wouldn’t exist without pollinators!). You will also have the opportunity to contribute to biodiversity by planting a wildflower on site.
    This walking tour is available June 21 and 22, July 5, 6, 26 and 27. It is limited to 16 people.
