Greenwater Lake Provincial Park
What to do while you are here
Greenwater Lake Provincial Park is one of Saskatchewan's premiere four-season destinations.
Greenwater Lake is the place to be for water lovers.
The swimming area is just off of the large main beach. Next to the beach is a large lawn, picnic area and service centre. There is a playground located between the beach and the marina.
There are three main areas to fish at Greenwater Lake.
Both Greenwater Lake and Marean Lake provide excellent opportunities to angle for northern pike, walleye and perch.
Steiestol Lake is stocked with rainbow trout, and due to the lake's winter aeration, catching up to 10 lb rainbow trout is common. This is a hike in lake and motorized boats are not permitted on the water.
A boat launch is available on Greenwater Lake, next to the marina. There is a filleting station located in the parking lot so that anglers can clean their catches.
From self-guided interpretive trails to challenging hiking and cross-country ski trails, Greenwater Lake has exactly what you're looking for.
Highbush Interpretive Trail

There are more than 125 km of cross-country skiing and snowmobiling trails in the park. In the summer, these double as hiking trails. These trails will guide hikers into the back country of the park, where you may spot moose, elk, deer and other wildlife.
Greenwater Lake Provincial Park offers fantastic winter recreation opportunities.
There are more than 100 km of groomed snowmobile trails within the park. There are three warm up shelters located along the trails, and from the park trails, snowmobilers can access the province-wide system of snowmobile trails.
Cross-country Ski Trails
Greenwater Lake Provincial Park has more than 25 km of cross-country ski trails. These trails are groomed and most of them are at an intermediate level. There are two warm up shelters located along the trails.
An ice skating area is maintained on the lake near to the marina. There is a shelter that includes a wood stove to warm up and tie your skates.
A toboggan hill, complete with a warm-up shelter and firewood, is located just past the golf course. The toboggan hill is fun for kids of all ages. Snowmobiles are not permitted on the toboggan hill.
There are tennis courts and horseshoe pitches located next to the recreation all. These are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Throughout the summer months, park interpretive staff provide a variety of fun and educational programs and activities. There are day and evening programs, guest presenters and much more.
Greenwater Lake Provincial Park also offers a wide variety of other services, including an 18-hole golf course, mini-golf, cabin accommodations, a restaurant and more. Visit our What's Nearby page for all of the details.
