Once a prehistoric ocean shore, the Pasquia Paleontological site is where 92-million-year-old "Big Bert," the world's most complete Terminonaris robusta crocodilian skeleton was discovered embedded in shale in 1991. Other marine-like fossils (fish, plesiosaurs, turtles) were also exposed. Dickson Hardie Interpretive Centre in Pasquia Regional Park is home to a permanent display of "Big Bert's" skeleton.
