FREE ENTRY to Fort Battleford National Historic Site in 2017! In celebration of the 150th anniversary of Canadian Confederation, entrance to all places managed by Parks Canada will be free throughout 2017. Get your free Discovery Pass by visiting Fort Battleford or by ordering it online. This free pass covers entry into Parks Canada locations, regular fees apply for special events and programming.

Showcasing the role of the North West Mounted Police (NWMP), Fort Battleford was established in 1876 and presided over some of the most pivotal events in the history of Western Canada. Discover family fun or adventure with your friends! Hear stories of settlers and the Indigenous people who lived beyond the fort's walls and explore the five original buildings, stockade, bastion and barracks to see what life was like for the men of the NWMP who made their home there during the 1800s.
