Fort Walsh National Historic Site Location: Fort Walsh National Historic Site, 55km SW of Maple Creek on Hwy 271.

Held Saturdays during July and August. Uncover stories of the many peoples who called this area home in the late 1800s. Help a North West Mounted Police officer complete their mid-day stable duties, discover stories at the First Nation camp and taste flavours of the past at the cook tent. Don't miss the historic weapons and cannon firing!

Activities for the day: 10:45 - 11:15 a.m. cannon firing and historic weapons demonstration, 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. guided tour of fort, 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. mid-day stables, 12 noon - 1 p.m. guided tour of fort, 1:30 - 2:30 p.m. tour of trading post (advance tickets required, limited space, weather permitted), 1:30 - 2:30 p.m. cook tent flavours, 3 - 3:30 p.m. cannon firing and historic weapons demonstration, 3:45 - 4:45 p.m. guided tour of fort.
