Great Blue Heron Provincial Park, Anglin Lake section borders Prince Albert National Park and offers plenty of year-round activities for all types of trail enthusiasts. In the spring, summer and fall, the site features 18 km of beautiful hiking trails along Jacobsen Bay's north shore, several shorter hiking trails around Anderson Point Campground (including a trail to the Anderson Cabin, an historic site), a challenging 3 km cycling trail up the fire tower road's steep inclines and excellent canoeing opportunities. Canoeing enthusiasts may even wish to schedule an overnight canoe trip as there is plenty of terrain to cover and group camping sites are located close to the shores.

In the winter, the area is a cross-country skiing oasis with 18 km of regularly groomed trails, featuring a warm-up shelter, rolling terrain and tracks that are perfect for beginner and intermediate skiers. The site's trails link up with the beautiful Spruce River Highland Trail cross-country ski trails in the Prince Albert National Park, but you must purchase a park pass to utilize these trails. Snowmobiling enthusiasts will also not be disappointed by the 50 km of trails that are found in the area, particularly the Trans Canadian Snowmobile Trail.
