Greenwater Lake Provincial Park, a four-season getaway, is home to more than 125 km of intermediate to advanced level hiking, cross-country skiing and snowmobiling trails. The park features over 25 km of intermediate level cross-country ski trails and more than 100 km of snowmobile trails, all of which are open to hikers in the spring, summer and fall. The cross-country ski trails are groomed weekly for both classic and skate skiing and feature two warm-up shelters. Meanwhile, the snowmobile trails offer four warm-up shelters and are groomed every week.

The park boasts two interpretive trails - the Marean Lake Birding and Highbush interpretive trails - that are ideal birdwatching sites as the park is home to more than 200 bird species. Some of the birds you may encounter on your journey include the Trumpeter Swan, bald eagle, common yellowthroat, yellow-bellied sapsucker, osprey and red-breasted merganser.

The Marean Lake Birding trail is a wide trail that was recently built in 2004 and features lookout points, a 5.5 m tall viewing tower that overlooks Marean Lake, a crusher dust surface, rest stops, and interpretive signs. The Highbush trail was also recently upgraded and widened to include a new crusher dust surface and bridges. It also features interpretive signs, rest stops, lookout points and benches that trail users will enjoy.

The terrain along the trails can be difficult in areas, so users are encouraged to let someone know about their planned route and estimated return time before heading out onto the trails. Trail users are also likely to encounter a variety of wildlife, including deer, coyotes, moose, black bears, elk and much more, along the trails.
