The trails at Manitou District Regional Park and within the Resort Village of Manitou Beach are perfect for walking, hiking and cross-country skiing. From the Manitou District Regional Park's campground there are two trail loops (3.5km and 5km). Both options include beautiful Wellington Park with its scenic creek and picnic sites. The trails are well-groomed, feature gentle hills and coulees and are located within a well-treed area that helps protect visitors from the wind. During your trip, you may encounter various animal and bird species - particularly white-tailed and mule deer, waterfowl and migratory birds - making it an ideal place for birdwatchers and nature lovers to enjoy. Portions of the trail within the Resort Village pass by attractions and shops. A gravelled pathway along Lake Ave and MacLachlan Ave provides scenic lakeviews.The town of Watrous is just 6km S of Manitou Beach. The park and two communities offer an abundance of attractions and amenities to trail visitors.
