The northern village of Green Lake is located 49km NE of Meadow Lake at the junction of Hwys 55 and 155. It is situated at the N edge of the long, narrow lake called Green Lake from which the community derives its name. A gateway to a number of northern communities, Green Lake can trace its history back to the 1700s and the fur trade.
