From Foam Lake, the Lure Crop Viewing Area is 5.6km W on Hwy 16, turn N; Bertdale Viewing Area is 8km N on Hwy 310, then 2.4km W; Johnson Viewing Area is 11.2km N on Hwy 310, then 3.2km W and 0.4km S.

This segment of trail near Foam Lake is part of the Quill Lakes International Bird Area, which was established and is managed by Ducks Unlimited Canada to provide protected wetland marshes for our province’s waterfowl species. There are two main components to this protected region – the Foam Lake Nature Centre and the Foam Lake Heritage Marsh, which includes the Lure Crop, Bertdale, and Johnson Viewing Areas.
