Grid 995, fly-in

Accessible only by boat or light aircraft, the hamlet of Wollaston Lake is located on the E shore of the lake from which its name is derived. The lake was named in 1807 by Peter Fidler to honour George Hyde Wollaston, a member of the governor's committee of the Hudson's Bay Company at the time. This deep, freshwater lake provides world-class fishing for northern pike, lake trout, walleye and Arctic grayling.
