Our last stop on Highway #16. Rocco and I posing in Langenburg with the cutest flower pot ever...a punch returns :)

Hanging out in Langenburg on the biggest swings ever with my new friend Krystan of Toronto, ON. They call this swing "Goliath", click here to see why.

Yorkton Western Development Museum

Inside Yorkton's Western Development Museum, which focuses on the "Story of People" and celebrates the cultural roots of Western Canada settlers. The exhibits give visitors a glimpse of life in Saskatchewan over the past century.

 Gallagher Centre

Yorton's Gallagher Centre houses a sports fieldhouse, a curling rink, convention centre, and a huge leisure water park including a wave pool, waterslide, and lane pool. The surrounding grounds include agricultural exhibition facilities, grandstand and racetrack.

 Painted Hand Casino

The Pained Hand Casino in Yorkton features 219 slots and electronic gaming machines, blackjack and much more. Maybe the next road trip should include a little gambling. I'll see what my boss says...

Foam Lake, Wynyard & Lanigan

Foam Lake Visitor Centre

Goofing around at the Foam Lake Visitor Centre. I'm not sure the broad shoulders suit me. This spot has a nice little rest stop area, tourist information, interpretive nature displays, and is right next to full-service campsites, a golf driving range, a heritage pioneer home, and nature/walking trails.

 Qill Lakes Interpretive Centre

Inside the Quill Lakes Interpretive Centre. If you like birds, this place is for you, there are birds everywhere! And, if you want to see the real thing, the Centre's staff will point you in the right direction.

 Lanigan & District Heritage Museum

The Lanigan and District Heritage Centre, which is housed in the old CPR train station. There are a lot of cool artifacts and displays to look through that history buffs will enjoy.

The Berry Barn

The Berry Barn Eatery and  Gift Shop just outside of Saskatoon sells just about everything you can make with a saskatoon berry. Here I am testing out some saskatoon berry pie. Want to know if I liked it? Click here to find out.

 Shearwater Tours

Practicing safe boating aboard the Shearwater Tours boat, which cruises up and down the South Saskatchewan River through Saskatoon.

 Saskatoon Western Development Museum

The Western Development Museum/1910 Boomtown in Saskatoon. There are so many life-sized and interactive displays. I even tried one of them out. Click here to see the video.

Saskatoon, the "City of Bridges". Thanks so much to Tourism Saskatoon for touring me around your pretty city, I had a great time.

Wanuskewin Heritage Park, Saskatoon

Wanuskewin Heritage Park

Posing with a "once live" bison inside Wanuskewin Heritage Park. Wanuskewin interprets over 6,000 years of Northern Plains Indian culture. It is hoome to 19 pre-contact sites, 4 walking trails, a medicine wheel, tipi rings, buffalo pound and much more.

 Wanuskewin Restaurant

The newly renovated restaurant inside Wanuskewin Heritage Park serves all sorts of tasty authentic First Nations dishes.

The Battlefords

Fort Battleford National Historic Site

Fort Battleford National Historic Site of Canada. There are many knowledgeable guides in period costume on the site that can tell you everything you want to know about Fort Battleford.

 King Hill Lookout

The city of North Battleford and the town of Battleford together make "The Battlefords". Brant and Shelly were out enjoying King Hill Lookout in North Battleford. This photo is overlooking the duck pond. It is a great place to get a good look at the beautiful scenery.

 The Battlefords Rider Bison

Rider Bison located near the The Battlefords Information Centre... only in Saskatchewan. I wasn't sure if I should laugh or feel embarrassed for, I laughed... Watch out Gainer, you might have some competition.

Best RV Ever...

Pink RV

I saw this cute RV a few times while making my way from Regina to Lloydminster. I was hoping I'd see it at a rest stop, and that finally happened about an hour outside of Lloydminster. The owners were nice enough to let me in and tell me its story. See our Picasa photo album for more photos of it.

Lloydminster Border Markers

The famous, and huge, border markers in Lloydminster, which is called the "Border City", as it straddles the Alberta/Saskatchewan border.

The Barr Colony Heritage Cultural Centre in Lloydminster houses many different exhibits, including the Fuchs Wildlife Display, the Richard Larsen Antique Museum, and the Imhoff Art Collection.

The Barr Colony Heritage Cultural Centre is currently home to a Lego Mosaic display, featuring several Lego pieces. This Lego Mosaic piece depicts Canadian Olympic Champion speed skater, Clara Hughes

Enroute to Llodminster

Blackstrap Lake, in Blackstrap Provincial Park was busy today with boats. Was a perfect day for it.

I took this shot enroute to Lloydminster at Davidson. The huge tea pot and cup made me think about the amount of French vanilla cappuccino I'd consumed so far, and how much more I'm sure I'll have before this road trip ends.
