More Direct Return Flights from Regina to the USA

Delta AirlinesThe ability to travel to and from Regina is becoming easier all the time. Recently, new direct flights and additional flights to key connecting US cities have been added at the Regina Airport Authority.

Delta Air Lines and the Regina Airport Authority recently announced that Delta will begin offering increased service from Regina to Minneapolis, Minnesota. The service will begin on April 6, 2010, with four daily non-stops from Regina to Minneapolis return. This represents a doubling of the past number of flights, and an increase of 120 seats daily.

Business class service will also be introduced on the first departure and the last arrival daily effective June 10, 2010, when appropriate aircraft have been retrofitted and allocated to the route.

“This new service by Delta Airlines significantly increases Regina’s connections to the extensive Delta network,” said Regina Airport Authority President and CEO Jim Hunter. “Through their Minneapolis hub, Delta offers 439 peak day departures to over 130 destinations in North America and overseas.”

United AirlinesIt was also announced that United Airlines will provide daily non-stop service between Regina and Chicago, Illinois, commencing on June 9, 2010. United’s service will operate utilizing the Canadair Regional Jet (CRJ) 700, offering six executive class and 64 economy class seats (including Economy Plus seating) along with exceptional passenger comfort and convenience.

“This is good news – non-stop air service to and from Chicago will be vital to further enhancing Regina’s connectivity to the world,” said Hunter. “United’s continued confidence and commitment to the Regina market is a reflection of our current economic strength and our customers’ demands for more flexible and frequent transborder service”.

United also currently serves Regina with two daily non-stop departures to Denver, Colorado.
