Spring Road Trip 2011

From 25-27, we sent our travel correspondent Becky and her sidekick Rocco back on the road, this time to the southern regions of the province. While the snow was not completely gone, they still found plenty to see and do indoors.

During their road trip, Becky and Rocco travelled through the southern Saskatchewan towns of Weyburn, Forget, Ogema, Assiniboia, and Gravelbourg, just to name a few. They visited the Claybank Brick Plant National Historic Site, the Soo Line Historical Museum (which houses the Charles Wilson Silver Collection), the Happy Nun Café and Ananda Arthouse in Forget, and the Shurniak Art Gallery in Assiniboia – again, just to name a few.

They searched out unique and hidden places to eat and stay, and with the help of suggestions from their Facebook and Twitter followers, they found some hidden gems in southern Saskatchewan.

As always, they documented their trip through photos and videos, and shared it all online.
