Reel in Big Prizes at the Nipawin Great Northern Pike Festival

June 19 - September 30, 2011

For 42 years, Nipawin's Great Northern Pike Festival has been attracting anglers from across Canada and the U.S. to Tobin and Codette Lakes.

Within these lakes, 40 northern pike have been tagged with prize information, and for an entry fee of only $5.00, anglers have an opportunity to win prizes from a cash and merchandise pool worth over $110,500. Here is a breakdown of the prizes to be won:

  • 1 fish is tagged with the grand prize, a 2011 Cypress Cay Seabreeze 210 Pontoon, 40 hp Honda Motor, EZ Loader Trailer
  • 1 fish is tagged for a new 2010 Polaris Sportsman 400 HO 4X4 valued at over $7,000 - this tag prize will be awarded by draw if not caught during the tournament.
  • 1 fish is tagged for a Honda CEU3000isCA Inverter Generator & 5 hp 4-stroke Outboard.
  • Image courtesy of Calvin Fehr1 fish is tagged with a major prize tag of $5,000.
  • 36 fish are tagged with a $250 prize tags.
  • Other prizes include a Graphite Pike Replica, a $750 Pineland Co-op Voucher, and a satellite Navigation System.
