Beat the Winter Blues... With a Blues Festival!

Saskatchewan Blues FestivalsThe cold weather making you feel blue? Do you enjoy singing, or maybe just listening to the blues? There are a number of blues music festivals happening in the province during the month of February. Read on to find a blues festival near you.

Mid-Winter Delta Blues Festival, Regina 
February 26 - 28, 2009
This is the 15th annual event that celebrates blues music in Regina. Performances will be held at various venues throughout Regina. These three nights of the best blues music in Saskatchewan will feature headliners such as Kenny Neal, Sonny Rhodes, Kenny "Blues Boss" Wayne and Fathead, and a special guest appearance by Jack Semple.

Saskatoon Blues Festival, Saskatoon 
February 26 - March 1, 2009
The festival brings the blues to Saskatoon with a variety of local, regional and national artists. This event opens Thursday with local acts. Friday and Saturday feature acoustic and electric rooms, workshops and a jam. Finally, there will be a windup party Sunday afternoon.

February 27 - March 1, 2009
