In Saskatchewan, February is the month of the blues…Blues Festivals that is!

A number of great Blues Festivals are held in the province this month, check out the information about a few of them below:

Mid-Winter Blues Festival 2011, Regina
February 24-26, 2011

This year's festival is unofficially being named "BLUESTOCK 2011" because two of their headliner acts played at the original Woodstock in 1969! The headliner acts for all three nights of the festival are Johnny Winter, Savoy Brown, and Canned Heat. Check out their website for more information and a schedule of events.

Annual Saskatoon Blues Festival, Saskatoon
February 24-27, 2011

This, the 9th annual festival, brings the blues to Saskatoon with a variety of local, national and international artists. The week opens with a blues camp for students, and major shows run Thursday to Saturday. Sunday features various workshops, jam sessions and the legendary windup party. Headliner acts include Big Hank & a Fist Full of Blues, MonkeyJunk, Pura Fé.  Check out their website for more information and a schedule of events.
