March 2014 SaskSecrets

March is already upon us and it’s time to start thinking warm thoughts. Though the snow may be around a bit longer, it’s never too early to start planning your summer vacation in Saskatchewan. One of the best ways to explore the province is by stepping off the beaten path.  Amazing experiences await you in rural communities, parks and at events throughout the province. We’ve got some ideas to trigger a summer state of mind.

  • Dotting the Saskatchewan landscape, grain elevators are a feast for the eyes. It’s time to go out and discover the few remaining prairie sentinels.
  • Hit the road with Caitlin Taylor, the 2014 Saskatchewanderer who will be travelling the province for a whole year. Via social media, Caitlin will be sharing her adventures and telling the world why our province is such a great place to live, work and play.
  • Saskatchewan played a huge role in the nation’s development. Visit a national historic site to find out more about our history.
  • Looking for an exciting event to attend? We’ve got some great resources to help you with your planning.
  • Still in the mood for some winter fun? Elk Ridge Resort has a great winter package to make the most of the snow.
  • Each year, the Craven Country Jamboree brings in some of the biggest names in country music. Check out our trivia question to see who’s onstage in 2014.

Once you’ve had a chance to digest all of these stories, take a peek at our social media channels. We update Facebook and Twitter daily with great information and post beautiful images on Instagram and Pinterest. And check out the action on YouTube to get a better feel for the province.
