Saskatchewan TV Trivia

The hit CTV television program Corner Gas, starring comedian Brent Butt, is filmed in Regina and nearby Rouleau, Saskatchewan (AKA Dog River). The upcoming season, which is currently in production, will be the sixth and last for the popular program.

Question: Each character in the hit TV show Corner Gas is named for:

Answer:

The last names of all characters on the show are actual Saskatchewan towns:

Brent, Oscar and Emma Leroy – Leroy is located just west of Big Quill Lake, and is home to a great golf course, The Creek at Leroy Leisureland.

Lacey Burrows – Burrows is on the Trans-Canada #1 Highway just east of Whitewood.

Hank Yarbo – The Town of Yarbo can be found northeast of Esterhazy.

Wanda Dollard – Dollard can be found about halfway between Eastend and Shaunavon in the province's southwest.

Karen Pelly – Pelly is near Duck Mountain Provincial Park in the east-central area, and is home to the annual Pelly Benefit Festival featuring old time country and gospel music (June 21-22, 2008).

Davis Quinton – Quinton is a little more than an hour north of Regina, not far from Raymore. Quinton is home to Wally’s Antiques and the B&K Junction Motor Inn.
