May 2013 SaskSecrets

Those May flowers that we’re always promised haven’t shown up right on queue this year, but that doesn’t mean we don’t have a lot to look forward to this spring and summer in Saskatchewan. The temperatures are rising, the snow is melting, the grass is turning green and the geese are flying north, all sure signs that summer will be here before we know it.  To make sure you’re prepared to make the best of the warmer seasons, we have a few first-class suggestions to get you off your butt and into the great outdoors.

  • It’s roadtrip season! Pack up the car and explore an area of the province you’ve never been before.
  • Get your dancing shoes on and head to one of the awesome outdoor music festivals we have happening across the province.
  • Very accessible, Meadow Lake Provincial Park is one of our most popular. It’s about time you find out why for yourself.
  • Grab your party hat, the MacKenzie Art Gallery is turning 60 this year! And their outdoor art festival, Bazaart is 40; plenty of reasons to celebrate in Regina this summer.
  • Gallop across the rolling prairies along Lake Diefenbaker with our Feature Package.
  • Bed and breakfasts are a great way to meet locals across the province. While on your roadtrip be sure to stay at one. If you need a few suggestions, check out our trivia question.

There’s so much more to tell you about; we can’t wait to share more of our beautiful province with you next month!
