  • mmm...BBQRegina has been declared the permanent home of the Western Canadian BBQ Championships. This year’s championship will be one of the features of the Pile of Bones BBQ - Canada’s Largest Tailgate Party that will take place at Mosaic Stadium on September 13 and 14, 2008. The Roughriders’ game in Vancouver will be displayed on the SaskTel MaxTron big screen, and the event will feature live music in addition to the judging in both professional and amateur BBQing divisions.   • The New Holland Saskatoon Stampede Pro Rodeo is the last sanctioned event in the 2008 Canadian Professional Rodeo Association season. Top ranked cowboys and cowgirls will be either chasing the Season Leader Championship Saddle in their respective event(s) or trying to qualify for one of the top ten positions available for the one million dollar ($1,000,000.00) purse at the Canadian Finals Rodeo. Events featured at each performance include: Bull Riding, Ladies Barrel Racing, Team Roping, Saddle Bronc Tie Down Roping, Bareback Riding and Steer Wrestling.
