Gravelbourg and Moose Jaw

Our Lady of the Assumption Co-Cathedral / Notre Dame de l'Assomption in Gravelbourg. There is no other word to describe this cathedral than "amazing". The exterior is massive and impressive, but the interior is beyond words. Gravelbourg is truely a "touch of Europe on the prairies".

The interior of Lady of the Assumption Co-Cathedral / Notre Dame de l'Assomption is magnificent. The walls and ceiling are covered in hand-painted murals and portraits dating back to 1920. The stained-glass windows throughout are also stunning.

The Sukanen Ship, Pioneer Village & Museum just outside of Moose Jaw. This spot is home to the Sukanen Ship, the Sontianen, an ocean going vessel built on the prairies by Tom Sukanen. How it got here is a pretty crazy story.

The newly renovated interior of Sahara Spa in Moose Jaw. It is located in the  old historic CNR Station on the east side of Crescent Park... the perfect combination of old and new. I got a pedicure, of course, with a special twist.

Just one little part of the Wedgewood Room at Wakamow Heights Bed and Breakfast in Moose Jaw. It has a number of gorgeous, uniquely-decorated character rooms. So, while it was hard to choose, I think this was my favourite. This historic home has all the modern amenities, like large flat-screen TV's in every room and huge jet tubs in some rooms, but they have also thought of the little things that make your stay extra special. It was love at first sight!
