Saskatchewan Winter Road Trip 2011

Saskatchewan is a four season destination without a doubt. Our four distinct seasons create different vacation options all year long. Of course, with winter comes snow and all the fun activities that go with it, so from January 2-5, 2011, we sent our correspondent Becky out on the road again to show you winter in Saskatchewan first hand.

This time Becky headed to northern Saskatchewan to stay at the one and only Elk Ridge Resort. Located one hour north of Prince Albert, just outside Prince Albert National Park and Waskesiu Lake, this four-star resort is located in the heart of the boreal forest.

Elk Ridge Resort is well-known as a four-season destination that boasts amazing golf, nearby pristine lakes and hundreds of kilometers of trails for both summer and winter activities. It is also home to the Salacia Spa, which offers many luxurious and unique spa treatments, as well as first class dining experiences at the Copper Ridge Dining Room, the Ridge Lounge and Walleye’s restaurant.

While there, Becky took in as many activities in and around Elk Ridge Resort as she could, and she shared her experiences online. She also spent a day at Sundogs Sled Excursions learning the basics of dog sledding, which was definitely a highlight on her trip.

The entire trip was documented in photos, videos and posts to our Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Picasa.
