Roan's whole "Midwest Princess" persona subverts traditional rural expectations, something Saskatchewan knows a little something about. Many people think they know or understand Saskatchewan, but tend to find things they don't expect when they explore further.

The springy horsehair floor, the vintage wood walls, the little eccentric details… It’s pure retro charm, like an episode of Happy Days brought to life. Regular dances still bring out locals and road‑trippers alike. On game day, Mosaic Stadium is pure electricity. The stands pulse with chants, drums, and green‑and‑white pride, and you can feel the energy building long before kickoff. Crowds pour in with a shared mission: To cheer, celebrate, and lose their voices for the Saskatchewan Roughriders. And if there's one thing Mosaic Stadium collectively loves (besides attempting the Wave with mixed success), it's a punchy rallying anthem (Green is the Colour who?)

Saskatoon's Remai Modern is one of those places that changes how you see Saskatchewan. Its bold steel‑and‑glass structure juts out toward the South Saskatchewan River, a striking landmark on the city’s skyline. Inside you’ll find rotating, word-class exhibits that range from thought‑provoking to delightfully weird. With its stunning modern interior, it's hard not to feel yourself a little as you wander the galleries, soaking in pure culture and creativity.
Make sure to: Grab lunch at Hearth Restaurant where you'll enjoy elevated (but unpretentious) prairie cuisine made with fresh, local ingredients.

The Vibe: Cosmic, dazzling, romantic, intimate, magical.
Rising unexpectedly from the prairie, Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park feels almost otherworldly. Forested hills, hidden lakes, and endless views make it a favorite escape for campers and hikers looking for something a little different from the western prairie below. At night, Cypress transforms. The park’s Dark Sky Preserve status means stars spill across the sky in a way you can rarely see anywhere else. Add in a stop at the nearby Cypress Hills Winery and you’ve got the perfect mix of quiet adventure and indulgence, a scene that pairs beautifully with Chappell's Red Wine Supernova.
