Saskatchewan is one of the most affordable places to camp in Canada, and our provincial parks and recreation sites offer a wide range of camping experiences to choose from. All of our primary campgrounds offer service centres with free bathroom and shower facilities and most offer laundry facilities and playground areas. Fresh drinking water, fire pits, fire wood and picnic tables are available at all provincial parks. Saskatchewan's natural beauty and clean air make camping in a provincial park a refreshing experience.

Changes or Cancellations
- A Non-refundable reservation fee is charged per reservation: $12/online - $14/call centre
- Change and Cancellation penalties are based on the type of site reserved.
- Depending on when a cancellation or change is made, penalties may apply. These penalties are applied as forfeited. If you change your reservation to a different Saskatchewan Provincial Park - it is still considered a cancellation.

Nightly / Equestrian / Camp-Easy / Backcountry: Change or Cancellation Penalties
- Camp-Easy: A refundable damage deposit is owed at the time of reservation. If no damage occurs during stay, you will be refunded the damage deposit.
- Changes to dates, permit holder name, park or Camp-Easy site made prior to 2:00 p.m. CST of scheduled arrival date will incur a $15 change fee.
- Shortening your stay or cancelling your reservation more than 24 hours prior to 2:00 p.m. CST of arrival will incur a $15 change and/or cancellation fee.
- Shortening your stay or cancelling your reservation less than 24 hours prior to 2:00 p.m. CST of arrival will result in the forfeit of two nights of camping.
- You are considered a no-show and automatically cancelled by the park if the site is not occupied by 2:00 p.m. CST on second day of reservation. No-shows result in the forfeit of up to four nights of camping.
Seasonal Campsite: Change or Cancellation Penalties
- Changes to site can only be made prior to 11:59 a.m. CST Wednesday before Victoria Day. Changes will incur a $15 change fee.
- Cancelling on or after Thursday before Victoria Day will result in 10% of the seasonal rate being forfeited plus the regular nightly rate multiplied by the number of nights occupied regardless if camping unit is onsite.
- You are considered a no-show and automatically cancelled by the park if site is not occupied by June 24 prior to noon CST. No-shows result in the forfeit of 10% of the seasonal rate plus the regular nightly rate multiplied by the number of nights from Thursday before Victoria Day to June 24, regardless if camping unit is onsite.
Additional Info:
When vacating the campsite at the end of the season, the permit holder must remove all personal property and restore the campsite to its original condition. If the campsite is not restored to its original condition, the ministry reserves the right to restore the campsite and charge the associated costs for restoration of the campsite. Failure to comply with the above conditions and Parks Act and Regulations may result in eviction and/or loss of the seasonal campsite for the season, or in future seasons.
Group Campsites: Change or Cancellation Penalties
- Changes to dates, permit holder name, park or campsite made prior to 2:00 p.m. CST of scheduled arrival date will incur a $15 change fee.
- Shortening your stay or cancelling your reservation more than 30 days prior to 2:00 p.m. CST of arrival will incur a $15 change and/or cancellation fee.
- Shortening your stay or cancelling your reservation 30 days or less prior to 2:00 p.m. CST of arrival will result in the forfeit of two nights of group camping.
- You are considered a no-show and automatically cancelled by the park if the site is not occupied by 2:00 p.m. CST on second day of reservation. No-shows result in the forfeit of 4 nights of group camping.
Swimming Lesson: Change or Cancellation Penalties
- Changes to dates, participant names or swimming level or cancellations made before 12:00 p.m. CST on the Friday prior to the first day of swimming lessons will incur a $15 change and/or cancellation fee.
- Cancellations made after 12:00 p.m. CST of the Friday prior to the first day of swimming lessons will result in the forfeit of all swimming costs.
Recreation Hall: Change or Cancellation Penalties
- Changes to dates and times or cancellations made 30 days or more prior to 9:00 a.m. of arrival date will incur a $15 change and/or cancellation fee.
- Changes or cancellations made 30 days or less prior to 9:00 a.m. of arrival date to a recreation hall less than 200 square meters will incur a $50 change and/or cancellation fee.
- Changes or cancellations made 30 days or less prior to 9:00 a.m. of arrival date to a recreation hall more than 200 square meters will incur a $100 change and/or cancellation fee.
- You are considered a no-show and automatically cancelled by the park if recreation hall is not occupied for the reservation period. No-shows result in the forfeit of 100% of the recreation hall rate.
Picnic Shelter: Change or Cancellation Penalties
- Changes to dates or permit holder name made prior 8:00 a.m. CST of arrival date will incur a $15 change fee.
- Cancellations completed 30 days or more prior to 8:00 a.m. CST of arrival date will incur a $15 cancellation fee.
- Cancellations completed 8-29 days prior to 8:00 a.m. CST of arrival date result in the forfeit of 50% of total rental cost. Cancellations completed 7 days or less prior to 8:00 a.m. CST of arrival date result in the forfeit of 75% of total rental cost.
- You are considered a no-show if the picnic shelter is cancelled after 8:00 a.m.

- Before completing the Refund Application Form you must cancel or change reservation through our Online Reservation Site or Call Centre 1-833-7SKPARK (1-833-775-7275).
- In no circumstances will non-refundable fees include reservation, cancellation and change fees be refunded.
- Refund Application must be received within 3 months of the departure date to be accepted.
- Refund Application are processed within 6 weeks.
- Saskatchewan Provincial Parks will not respond to applications that do not have grounds for a refund.
Refunds will NOT be given:
- If wildlife (bears, cougars, etc.) or insects (tent caterpillars, ticks, etc.) are in the campsite/campground or damaged/destroy personal property.
- For Weather (temperature, rain, snow, etc.) or air quality issues (wildfire smoke, etc.).
- Because fire bans/restrictions are in effect.
- For in-park conditions (unsatisfactory conditions, poor customer service, etc.). These requests for refund must be directed to the Park Manager.
- For early departure, a maximum of four (4) nights camping will be forfeited. (exceptions - see Refunds below)
- If expected or common park conditions trigger existing medical condition (i.e., reaction to bee sting, or asthma attack from campfire smoke, etc.) or if someone in the camping party gets ill but does not require medical attention.
- For errors made on reservation by the reservation holder.
- For minor vehicle issues including breakdowns, repairs or other equipment issues.
- When a reservation cancellation or change falls within the penalty period.
- For plans change due to arrangements falling through (i.e. child/pet care) or getting called into work.
Refunds will only be given:
- For incorrect charges caused by technical issues on our Online Reservation Site.
- When you are unable to enter campgrounds or access campsites due to natural disasters, road closures or other park-related emergencies.
- For medical emergencies that prevent you from fulfilling the reservation.
- These applications require a doctor’s note or proof that a member of the camping party was seriously injured or admitted to the hospital.
- Dates on the medical note or document must coincide with the arrival date.
- Where applicable, the permit holder must cancel or change the reservation immediately.
- These applications require a doctor’s note or proof that a member of the camping party was seriously injured or admitted to the hospital.
- If there is a death in the immediate family.
- This application requires a death certificate and/or obituary notice that clearly demonstrates the deceased’s relationship with the reservation holder or a member of the camping party named in the reservation.
- Where applicable, the permit holder must cancel or change the reservation immediately.
- (Immediate family: parent, spouse, child, grandchild, grandparent, brother, sister, father-in-law, mother-in-law, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, and any other relative permanently residing in the same household.) *Death of friends, distant relatives or pets do not qualify for refund.”
- When the reservation holder or camping party member are in a serious motor vehicle accident that prevent customers from fulfilling their reservation. Applications require an accident report dated within the reservation time period.
