We are always planning and building for your arrival!

Saskatchewan Provincial Parks are year-round destinations, and we at Sask Parks want opportunities for our visitors to reflect that. Each year we plan for new construction in various parks to improve your experiences when you arrive at our gates.

Park upgrades

Planned for construction in 2021-22

These projects are jointly funded by the Government of Canada and the Government of Saskatchewan under the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program.

  • Lac La Ronge Provincial Park Water System Upgrades: Potable water system improvements will be made at Nut Point, Wadin Bay and Nemeiben Lake campgrounds in Lac La Ronge Provincial Park. This project will see three existing water treatment systems decommissioned and converted to potable water storage, re-chlorination and distribution facilities. These upgrades will ensure safe, reliable potable water for park visitors while meeting regulatory requirements.  Further, these investments will significantly reduce park operational costs associated with water treatment at these campgrounds.
  • Rowan’s Ravine Provincial Park Wastewater Treatment System Upgrades: Upgrade of the existing single-cell facultative lagoon will take place at Rowan’s Ravine Provincial Park to a two-cell, HDPE lined facultative lagoon.  These upgrades will provide increased wastewater treatment capacity to accommodate current and future park needs, while meeting WSA regulatory requirements and providing protection to adjacent Last Mountain Lake.
