Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park

Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park is renowned for its distinctive lodgepole pines and breathtaking vistas. Located in the southwest corner of the province, this provincial park provides an ideal retreat from urban centers.

There are many ways to stay:

• Do you love adventure and being fully immersed in nature? Grab your tent or RV and try camping (with full services available throughout September and partial services in October).

• Looking for a no-prep experience, The Resort at Cypress Hills is for you. It offers townhouses, cabins, and a hotel.

Once settled, spend time exploring the park. It's designated as one of Canada's Dark Sky Preserves. The perfect spot for stargazing with your loved one.

Rise with the sun in the morning and spend it hiking amidst the lush forests and rolling hills. Campers can also hike or drive up to Lookout Point. This spot gives you an awe-inspiring panoramic view not to miss.

Or spend the day soaring through the treetops while taking in the beautiful nature views along the way with Treeosix Adventure Park. This in-park business offers ziplining, rock climbing, e-bike rentals, and more. Check out their website to check availability and operating hours.

Campers also have the option to spend time in Maple Creek located just 20 minutes outside of the park. Spend a couple hours in stores, restaurants, and more before making your way back to the park.

Finish the day with dinner at The Resort at Cypress Hills restaurant or Lakeview Grill (until September 9).

Don't forget to the visit the pool, hot tub and dry sauna (until mid-September) before heading back to bed after a long day.

Meadow Lake Provincial Park

For the adventurous couple, Meadow Lake Provincial Park provides experiences off the beaten path.

Discover the joy of paddling together on Greig Lake or pack your hiking boots and explore the Boreal Trail. Spanning 135 kilometres, the Boreal Trail is the only year-round destination backpacking trail in the Saskatchewan Provincial Park system. The Trail offers day hiking or multi-day trips, backcountry camping and a variety of start and end points.

Whether you and your partner go all-in with backcountry camping or want to stay in one of the nightly electric sites, there are tons of campsite options in Meadow Lake.

• Don't want to camp? That's okay, Lake Time Rentals offers RV camper rentals and all-season cabins open year-round.

Good Spirit Lake Provincial Park

For couples who prefer beach life, try Good Spirit Lake Provincial Park. This beautiful park is nestled 30 minutes outside of Yorkton on the east side of the province and is known for its sandy beaches.

Introducing a new addition this year: palapas dotting the shoreline. Start your day by pouring a cup of coffee and taking a leisurely stroll to the beach. Enjoy the soothing sight of waves rolling in beneath the comforting shade of the grass roofed palapas.

Kick your shoes off and walk along the shores near the sand dunes. Not far along the shore you'll find a catwalk to take you to Lookout Point for a perfect view of the lake.

Stay at one of our Camp-Easy sites or book one of the new Mistik Lodge cottages located near the water's edge.

Share a campfire-cooked meal while listening to the soothing sounds of the water.

Spend the next day hiking the Trans Canada Trail amongst trees. In the fall, the colours and smells will create the perfect experience to calm your mind with your partner. Keep your eyes open to spot wildlife such as moose and deer as they make themselves known in the quiet season.

Duck Mountain Provincial Park

Duck Mountain Provincial Park is loved for its rolling hills, well-stocked lakes and boreal forest setting.

Accommodations range from wilderness camping to electric campsites and two Camp-Easy yurts to a lodge with modern cabins and townhouses from Madge Lake Developments.

Bike a section of the Trans Canada Trail or try a self-guided or interpretive trail. Couples can also check out the nearby National Doukhobor Heritage Village site at Veregin.

For more activities there are disc golf and fishing (if you don't have a boat stop at Madge Lake Developments) or take each other one in a one-on-one golf showdown at Madge Lake Golf Resort.
