Pelican Narrows

Pelican Narrows is located 120 km northwest of Creighton via the Hanson Lake Road and gravel Hwy 135. It is situated at the narrows that join Mirond and Pelican Lakes, which lies between the Sturgeon-Weir and Churchill River systems. Pelican Narrows comes from the Cree word Opawikoscikcan, which means "The Narrows of Fear."
