Moose Mountain Provincial Park offers an extensive trail system for hiking, mountain biking, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling. Pass through the beautiful stands of aspen, birch, green ash and Manitoba Maple that characterize this unique southern Saskatchewan forest. Many of the trails border small lakes which offer scenic viewpoints and opportunities for wildlife viewing. Several trails offer interpretive signage or brochures and park interpreters offer guided walks on several of the shorter trails on a weekly basis during the summer. A paved path from the campground to the main beach is excellent for family cycling or rollerblading.

ATV enthusiasts are welcome to enjoy designated trails from June 15 to the end of Labour Day weekend, weather permitting only. Trails will be closed when raining or following a substantial rainfall in order to minimize ecological damage. Trail status is also available by calling 306-577-2600.

More than 120 km of groomed snowmobile trails, 50 km of cross-country ski trails groomed for both classic and skate skiing, and 10 km of snowshoe trails allow winter enthusiasts to enjoy the beauty of the park.

Trails are patrolled randomly by enforcement officers to ensure all users are abiding by the law. Their trails are an opportunity for everyone to experience Moose Mountain Provincial Park at its finest; therefore, it is not legal to skirt closed gates, chase wildlife, mud-bog or ride off designated trails. Please tread lightly and enjoy your park.
