Moose Mountain Provincial Park

Firewood Permits

Visit the Administration Office Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (closed from 12:00 p.m.-1:00 p.m.) to receive a firewood permit or call (306) 577-2600 for more information.

Anyone can be permitted to cut up to 10 cords of deadfall from within the park.  There is no charge for a deadfall permit.

Up to 10 cords of greenwood can be cut by any individual, however, the price is dependent on the size and specie of the tree.

Cutting over 10 cords (greenwood) is considered a ‘Commercial Operation’ with a different set of regulations, including the need for a scaler to scale the wood.  Greenwood cannot be cut in the core area.
