The legendary Qu’Appelle Valley features a variety of beautiful parks and lakes as well as limitless opportunities for adventure and exploration in the South East Region. As you make your way through this corner of our province, you’ll discover a range of landscapes including lush valleys, rolling hills and fascinating rock formations, such as those at Roche Percee in the Souris Valley.

Head to the high country - Moose Mountain is an impressive plateau that rises from the surrounding rolling plains to form an oasis of dense forest that is home to a variety of wildlife. Get as close to nature as you like through a full range of camping options, as well as cabins, resort hotels and condominiums.  


Fishing is a popular pastime among residents and visitors to the South East Region. Some preferred locations include Alameda, Rafferty and Boundary Dam Reservoirs, Saskatchewan’s only sources of large mouth bass. Last Mountain Lake, Echo Lake and Round Lake are renowned for fishing and excellent scenery as well.

Winter brings a host of opportunities to enjoy the great outdoors – downhill skiing in the Qu’Appelle Valley, beautiful cross-county ski trails in Echo Valley and Moose Mountain Provincial Park and hundreds of kilometres of groomed snowmobile trails across the South East Region.
