Flora Bora's Unique Accommodations: Yurts!

My yurt! Her name is Betty…fitting I’d have to say. What is a yurt you ask? Well, click here to learn more, but basically they are a super cool accommodation that you won't find everywhere. The yurts at Flora Bora are brand new, and impressive inside and out.

I was so pleasantly surprised by the inside of my yurt. It’s very tough to convey how lovely and comfortable they are through photos. Owners/operators Karen and Justin Wasylyk have done an amazing job decorating the interiors of these yurts. Flora Bora has two yurts available for rent, each housing two queen-sized beds, full kitchens, full bathrooms, couches and dining tables.

The exteriors of the yurts feature attached decks, barbeques and deck tables and chairs. There are campsites and picnic tables nearby as well. Basically, a yurt has everything you need. The only reason to leave is to explore the trails by foot or bike or to find one of the many lakes in the area.

This is Betty’s brother Yeti (yurt #2), who is just as cute but has his own different feel. The Wasylyk’s have attended to every detail, from the major amenities in the kichen and bathroom, to the smallest touches like handmade furniture and lighting fixtures.

This was quite possibly the best meal I've ever had. I am not was amazing. It was catered by Yellowfender Catering Coffee House & Bistro in Christopher Lake. Flora Bora is happy to order in catered meals for groups of any size. Click here to find out what this meal consisted of, and to see the dessert!
