Wynyard

The Town of Wynyard, situated on Yellowhead Hwy 16, is home to many businesses and tourist attractions. Its strategic location on a major migratory bird path makes Wynyard a birdwatcher's mecca and a hunter's paradise. Local attractions include the Wynyard & District Museum and a scenic 9-hole grass greens golf course. The Quill Lakes Interpretive Centre is open by appointment only - sufficient notice is required. Those interested in visiting the Interpretive Centre are asked to contact 306-554-3661. The town's quiet and well-treed campground is open from May long weekend to Labour Day. Its reservoir boasts rainbow trout and allows row boats, canoes and kayaks.
