Wolseley, also known as the “Town Around A Lake,” was settled in early 1882. Notable for keeping its history alive, the town has maintained and restored many historic buildings. It is home to the first Beaver Lumber store, established in 1883, the oldest courthouse in Saskatchewan, built in 1895. and the oldest public library in continuous service to a community, established in 1893. The Twilite Drive-In Theatre, one of only a handful of drive-in movie theatres left in Saskatchewan, can also be found here. Come experience Wolseley’s historic charm and enjoy a walk across the swinging bridge.
