No matter what the season, there are plenty of things to do in the small town of Allan. Spring or summer, visit the museum in the old town office, take a dip at the pool or enjoy a round on the golf course. Fall or winter, take in a Senior Allan Flames hockey game, hit the ice for a skate, have a shootaround at the Logan Schatz Memorial Arena or "hurry hard" into the house with a game of curling at the Allan & District Curling Rink. And be sure to get yourself a "rink burger" when spending time at any of the rinks! Allan's recreational facilities include the swimming pool, museum, hockey and curling rinks, golf course, ball diamonds and a privately owned campground.
The community hosts a variety of annual events including Family Day in the Park, Library Book Sale & BBQ in June, the Fall Supper in October, the Craft Show in November and Old Fashioned Christmas in December. There is also an active New Horizons organization that hosts monthly programming. You can enjoy meals and refreshments at local restaurants and lounges. There are three churches that offer weekly services. For more information of what's happening in Allan, check out the monthly newsletter on the town's website.
