Saskatchewan's vast, dark skies are the perfect canvas for the wonder of the cosmos. Join Astrophotographer Ben Hutton and Tourism Saskatchewan Content Creator Matt Duguid as they embark on a journey to photograph the darkest skies in Canada at Grasslands National Park.
A relic from the Ice Age, Castle Butte is a striking formation that served as a landmark for Indigenous People, the North West Mounted Police (NWMP) and early Canadian settlers.

Grasslands National Park
Step back through 70 million years of Earth's history on this guided geology experience in the East Block of Grasslands National Park. Explore dramatic badlands landscapes, discover evidence of ancient life, and stand on the K-Pg boundary—the thin geological layer that marks the extinction of the dinosaurs. This one-hour interpretive walk offers a fascinating look at beginnings, endings and the forces that shaped the prairie landscape.
