Where the Wild Roam Free

There is nothing quite like that magical moment when you encounter an animal in its natural habitat. Saskatchewan’s vast and varied landscapes are home to an incredible array of wildlife. Sprawling native grasslands with herds of free-roaming bison and the only places in Canada where colonies of Black-tailed prairie dogs still exist in their natural environment. Dense boreal forest where majestic moose, elk, black bears and the elusive lynx call home. Hear the howl of coyotes and wolves in the night and witness the world’s second-fastest land animal, the pronghorn.

"Imagine standing amidst the serene boreal forest, your heart racing with excitement as you spot a majestic elk grazing at dawn."

Prince Albert National Park is a stunning sanctuary for wildlife and a dream come true for anyone passionate about wildlife photography.

Did You Know?

The province of Saskatchewan designated the white-tailed deer as its official animal in 2001. The name comes from the white underside of their tail, which is raised like a flag when the deer is running or frightened.
