Lashburn is located on Hwy 16 and offers a great number of recreation facilities and community gathering places as well as the Lashburn High School and J.H. Moore Elementary. Known as the "Home of the Bluebirds" senior ladies' softball, the community has great softball and fastball facilities for players of all ages. The Lashburn Town and Country Golf Club is a 9-hole grass green course with treed and hilly holes, and also offers a trout pond, clubhouse and campground. For more recreation, the town also has impressive curling facilities, a rugby field, a bowling alley and the Lashburn Sportsplex for community events, skating and hockey. The community also boasts several impressive green spaces. Heritage Park, which surrounds the 1927 High School heritage building, consists of a playground, soccer field, skateboard park, and outdoor arena. The award-winning Communities in Bloom committee has also leased several parcels of land from the Department of Highways to create future green spaces.
