Rosthern is located midway between Saskatoon and Prince Albert, at the junction of Hwys 11 and 312. The community offers the quality of life found in a small town and the amenities of the city. When visiting Rosthern, be sure to stop in at the award-winning Station Arts Centre. Open year round, this renovated CN station has been converted into an art gallery, tea room and performing arts theatre.​

The variety of indoor and outdoor recreation facilities provide year-round enjoyment. Rosthern boasts the only swimming pool in the Valley area. The Valley Aquatic Centre ​is a modern Junior olympic-sized pool featuring a walk-out, zero-depth recreation wing, spray bar, water umbrella, and diving board. The facility is wheelchair accessible and offers a full array of aquatic opportunities. Private pool rental is also available. The aquatic season runs from the May long weekend to the last week of August (weather and staff permitting). Rosthern is surrounded by great terrain for snowmobile enthusiasts, and is located alongside the Saskatoon Snowmobile Club trail.​
