Tugaske, derived from a Cree expression meaning "good land", is a small community located 25 km northeast of Central Butte. A comfortable drive from the community are a number of parks that offer a variety of outdoor recreation; Douglas Provincial Park is 26 km northwest, Danielson Provincial Park is 70 km northwest, Palliser Regional Park is 63 km west and Buffalo Pound Provincial Park is 74 km southeast.
