Located in the scenic Qu'Appelle Valley, Fort Qu'Appelle was originally established as a Hudson's Bay Company trading post in 1852. Today, the original building houses the town's museum. Fort Qu'Appelle was also home to the Sanitorium that was built to treat Saskatchewan tuberculosis patients from 1917 to 1972.

Recreational activities are endless, with Mission Ridge Winter Park providing downhill skiing and snowboarding during the winter months and the Qu'Appelle Valley lakes providing plenty of summer fun.
