Alameda by definition means "Avenue of Trees." A family and community minded town, Alameda is situated in the southeast corner of the province where there is an abundance of oil, water and grain. It is famous for being the home of the Grant Devine Dam, which has turned into a full service recreational area and host to the Alameda Fishing Derby in June.
