Moose Jaw's Wakamow Valley is a four-season urban park and conservation agency with over 20 km of trail systems that provide an accessible environment in a natural park setting. Enjoy activities such as biking, hiking, disc-golfing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and skating. Canoe, kayak, snowshoe and disc-golf set rentals available. The valley is home to four playgrounds, seven park pavilion areas and almost 500 acres of parkland and natural habitat. Park areas include Plaxton's Lake and Kiwanis River Park - picnic and canoe; Kinsmen-Wellesley Park, Rotary Park, Lions Park and Connor Park - walking trails, playgrounds, challenge course, picnic and skating areas; Kingsway Eco-Zone - nature study trails; McCaig Natural Gardens; and Lorne Calvert Campground with newly renovated showers & washrooms.
Pavilions can be rented for family reunions, birthdays, barbecues and weddings.
