Last Mountain Bird Observatory (LMBO), nestled within Last Mountain Lake in Saskatchewan, offers a unique opportunity for bird enthusiasts. As the province's only bird monitoring station, LMBO engages in the observation, capturing, and banding of migratory birds during peak seasons in spring and fall. Visitors are welcome in May, August, and September to participate and learn about bird banding techniques and local natural heritage. An entry fee is required for Last Mountain Regional Park, but no additional fees apply for participating in LMBO activities. For group visits or inquiries, contact jrustad@naturesask.ca.
