Located just east of Mortlach, the Besant Trans-Canada Campground is a leased provincial recreation site offering travellers a peaceful oasis with a stocked, spring-fed pond, sandhills, large, well-treed campsites and a natural swimming area. The campground is the home of the Sandy Creek Gospel Jamboree. It is a great place to host family barbecues, reunions and weddings. Their location makes for excellent birdwatching.
