Meewasin Valley | Dark Skies: Photographing the Milky Way, Part II

    Saskatoon

    Jul 26, 2024 to Jul 26, 2024

Join Meewasin and Saskatoon’s Living Sky Guy Tim Yaworski for an Astrophotography Workshop at Paradise Beach (map). As night falls, witness the Milky Way come to life.

The evening begins with an introduction by Meewasin, followed by a photography workshop where you'll learn how to capture the beauty of the Milky Way. This hands-on experience is perfect as we enter the peak season for Milky Way viewing. Explore the starry night through telescopes, binoculars, and the new SeeStar smart telescope while enjoying a hot beverage of your choice. All proceeds from this tour support Meewasin’s conservation in the river valley, making this a truly sustainable experience.

Your ticket includes: 3-hour experience led by a Meewasin guide (9 p.m. - 12 midnight); Astrophotography Workshop with special guest Tim Yarowski; the chance to view the night sky via telescope, including the new SeeStar smart telescope; one complimentary beverage (tea, coffee or hot chocolate). Maximum 24 persons; ages 18+.
