Yellowhead Flyway Birding Trail

The Yellowhead Flyway Birding Trail Association (YFBTA) includes prairie and valley trails along or near the Yellowhead Highway in Yorkton and the surrounding area. Their birding trail system includes Ravine Ecological Preserve (Yorkton); Isabel M. Priestly Birding Trail - York Lake Regional Park (near Yorkton); Kaposvar Birding Trail (near Esterhazy); Leflay Birding Trail (near Saltcoats); Melville Regional Park Trail (Melville); and Carlton Trail Regional Park Trail (near Spy Hill). The YFBTA also has enacted a Designated Road Allowance Project in partnership with the RM of Saltcoats #213, RM of Cana #214, RM of Wallace #243 and RM of Orkney #244 by placing signs on designated roads that have natural habitat that allows wildlife to flourish. The signs are an invitation to drive or walk and enjoy the many natural wonders within that environment.
