Grotto Gardens, located just south of Maple Creek on Hwy 21, invites guests to their family-operated, saskatoon berry orchard for some farm food and family fun. Come pick your own berries or let them pick berries for you. Enjoy items from the country bakery including homemade saskatoon berry preserves, pies, muffins, cakes and other treats. Sit down to enjoy some delicious homemade food from the lunch menu. Browse through the unique gift shop for trendy country gifts, garden art and handcrafted wooden products for both indoor and outdoor spaces.
For hands-on activities, check out Saskatchewan's first goat-walk and meet other miniature farm animals. Book your spot for the Easter Train Egg Hunt in April, or Goat Yoga, Alpaca Walks or a Farm Train Tour during the summer. On Saturday afternoons, parents can enjoy a delicious treat on the deck while Grotto Educators lead their pre-schooler through a fun, hands-on 2.5-hour Lil Farmers Class. School field trips to Grotto Gardens are also popular.
Autumn brings more family fun to Grotto Gardens. Take in the 1st Annual Pumpkin Pick on weekends in October. Hop on the Farm Train for a scenic fall tour of the farm and purchase a pumpkin from the pumpkin field. During the last week of October, the Haunted House at Grotto Gardens is sure to set the mood for Halloween night. In winter, the Christmas Farm Train provides tours of the farm decorated for the holidays. Tours are available on the first, second and third weekends in December.
Open May long weekend to Dec 19.
